Welcome to our website-The Laka Cultural Association (LCA) Nigeria. LCA is our brand, our identity.
Having these web pages running will establish our credibility and project a positive impression of our people.
While we continue to learn through interaction about our heritage, languages/dialects, religions, ancestry, aesthetics, etc that developed over time in relation to historical, social and political contexts, we believe doing such will promote better bonding and understanding.
Our resolve is driven by purpose and clear expectation. We therefore enjoin our members to avail themselves of this opportunity of being part of the family.
The compendium of members is being developed and will be updated on regular basis. Our people are encouraged to register and have their names properly captured in their respective branches. This will enable the National Executive Council to reach out to members properly across the country.
We have also made a provision for donations from well-wishers. Having adequate funds is key to building and sustaining an effective association. By clicking on “Donate”, the account details of the Association will be revealed and donations can be made. Our wish is to have a vibrant Association that will be self-sustaining and that is why the Standing Committees we set up will come out with recommendations to that effect. Going out always, cap in hand, begging for funding support is not good.
As we progress, we shall leverage on the goodwill and support of our members to do better, to improve our fortunes and towards that, we shall welcome suggestions, advices and wise counsels.
